
Tomaž has been creating magnificent dishes at Michelin star restaurant Gostilna pri Lojzetu since 2018, the year in which he also ranked 99th on the Best Chef Awards list of the top 300 chefs in the world. He is the fourth generation of hospitality workers, and still buys the raw ingredients his grandfather taught him about. His creativity in the kitchen, inspired by memories from his childhood, was recognised by a JRW award for innovation in 2017.
Considered one of the founders of culinary tourism in Slovenia, Tomaž has cooked for royals, politicians, businesspeople, entertainers and sportspeople who have visited his Renaissance manor by helicopter, airplane and yacht.
